Terms of service
These terms cover your use of the theautomation.ca website. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Using the site
You can browse the site, read our content, take the AI readiness assessment and contact us. Please don't:
- use the site for anything unlawful;
- try to break, overload or get unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it;
- copy large parts of the site or scrape it to republish our content as your own.
What's on the site
The content on this site is general information about our services and about AI automation. It isn't legal, financial or technical advice for your business. The AI readiness assessment gives a general score and suggestions based on your answers. Treat it as a starting point, not a professional assessment.
The product visuals on this site, such as run logs, example leads, invoices and messages, show illustrative data. They're examples of how the work looks, not records of real clients or results.
Our services
The Automation Company builds and runs AI automations for businesses, including the free automation plan, pilot projects and ongoing work. Each client engagement is governed by a separate agreement that we and the client sign. That agreement sets the scope, price, data handling, responsibilities and support. If anything on this site conflicts with a signed agreement, the signed agreement wins.
Nothing on this site is an offer to provide services until we both sign that agreement.
Our content
The text, design, graphics and code on this site belong to The Automation Company or to the people who licensed them to us. Tool names and logos, such as Gmail, HubSpot, Shopify and QuickBooks, belong to their owners. We use them only to describe the tools we work with. Their use doesn't mean those companies endorse us.
You may share links to our pages and quote short passages with credit.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, such as sources we cite. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
No warranty
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted or free of harmful code, or that its content is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties about the site, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, The Automation Company isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data, that comes from using or being unable to use this site, even if we were told such loss was possible. For anything else related to the site, our total liability is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us to use it.
These limits apply to the website only. Liability for our services is set in the signed agreement for those services.
Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limits. Where that's the case, the limits apply only as far as the law permits.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal information, including through this site. It's part of these terms.
